Naming fonts was one of the most fun things I got to do when opening up my Etsy shop. I chose names that meant something to me -- Summer is my niece's name, Ernie is what I call my older sister, Westridge is the community I grew up in, Brooklyn is my other niece, and so on. This Duke font (where I went to college) has been very popular lately, and I'm not complaining because I love the clean lines and contrast of thick and thin.
Your calligraphy is beautiful! Your font names are so cute, it's always more fun naming something with a special meaning behind them =)

I've just starting dabbling in amateur calligraphy (I could only dream of being as talented as you are!), but I never realized that you could get such thick lines with a calligraphy nib. May I ask what kind of nib you use please?
ReplyDeleteI appreciate that, Laura! These particular cards pictured above have one of my hand lettering fonts. I do all hand lettering with regular ink pens. So I draw the letters and make them bold afterwards. When I use calligraphy dip pens with nibs and ink, I have different fonts. My favorite nib is the Brause 66 EF!
