PERSONAL STATIONARY

For Christmas this year, I wanted to use everything I've learned over the past two years from calligraphy, and somehow make my friend's and family's gifts. I know that sounds very second-grade-ish to make your gifts, but I had a vision of personalized stationary, and I honestly could not be happier with the outcome.

Some of the cards I made stamps out of my calligraphy, then embossed the notecards. Some of them I simply used the stamp. and the rest of them I just did calligraphy! To complete the stationary set, I picked out beautiful paper and made envelope liners out of them. Each of my family and friends got a set of 10 cards and corresponding 10 envelopes.

GOOGLE

I was asked earlier this month to hand write thank you cards for Google, as well as write calligraphy on envelopes! This project was fun because I was able to test out my new font that I am going to introduce in the spring, and I was also able to use my natural handwriting, which I don't get to do very often for Brown Fox.

HAND LETTERING

It's been quite some time since I took a break from calligraphy and hand lettered for fun. I love this quotation because my two beautiful nieces were both born in October!

EMBOSSING

I have discovered the most amazing stamp related activity ever... embossing! It is seriously cool watching the embossing powder melt and harden. I didn't think I could possibly love stamps more than I do, but I was mistaken.
